Member Web Seminar

Attendees will engage in observation and scientific sensemaking paired with discourse and the Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs) to figure out phenomena.  Participants will learn about how the CCCs function partnered with student talk to figure out and explain in science. Attendees will have the chance to talk with fellow participants about how they might use these strategies and tools in their classroom or role and how they can be differentiated for varied grade levels. Participants will leave with a virtual toolbox of resources they can take home and apply right away.

Note: This is the second web seminar in a series of four about the Crosscutting Concepts developed by members of the NSTA’s Professional Learning Committee. Please consider registering in the remaining two web seminars in the series taking place May 7 and May 14. The first web seminar took place February 27.

All individuals receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points for attending the live seminar and completing the end-of-program survey. A certificate of participation is not awarded for watching the recorded version of the program.

We invite you to register for upcoming web seminars at NSTA.
